Barangay Lamisahan is covered in lush virgin forest and unnamed as early as 1898. By 1901, settlers arrived and settled themselves in the area. The name of the area was changed in the minds of the locals from Lami-sa-Mesa or Lamisa-mahn to its current name “Lamisahan”. It was also believed that“lamisahan” might’ve been taken from the Tagalog word “lamisahan” meaning “they enjoy the fresh, cool and sweet water from an open spring to the river”.
